Arrived at Stalag 4B 18/12/43. Assigned to Stalag 4A work camps Connewasser, 1174 (cement factory, 5/1/44 to 9/12/44) and 1125 (labouring) from 9/12/44 to 11/1/45. Witness to shooting of Harold Moore by German guard at Stalag 4A. 1945 POW Questionaire: 'Harold Moore was shot by the Unter officier on the working party after being away from the camp for several hours and the BMC [British Man of Confidence] of Stalag 4A did not come to enquire why the man was shot while coming back into the camp.' POW No 266687.
