I have placed Gnr C Wilson’s POW number, 3366, within an extract from my consecutive listing DLI POW numbers below. For the full listing see the index page. Looking at the Red Cross contents list at top right, it’s interesting that Gnr Wilson’s address is listed as Feldpost 19401/A. It’s therefore highly likely that all the DLI men listed below were with him at this early stage of his incarceration in Germany. And those highlighted below as BAB21, Bau und Arbeits Battalion 21, apparently later re-designated workcamp E 793, would still be there or thereabouts with him when he received his November 1943 Red Cross parcel, see the label, right below, addressed to BAB 21, Blechhammer, and subsequently in January 1945 for the long march westwards.
