Mr and Mrs John Callaghan, of 3 Bombay Grove, Seaton Estate, received today three letters from their second son, Pte Arthur Callaghan, of the DLI, stating that he is a prisoner of war in Italy. Pte Callaghan, was reported missing a month ago and the letters from an Italian camp are dated July 22 and 28 and August 8. Aged 34, Pte Callaghan joined up soon after the war began and has been serving in the Middle East for nearly three years...........continues with story of escapes and Red Cross.'
